Smallism - Imagined
What will it look like?
Because Smallism requires a radical re-imagining of how a society can be reorganised to serve the people with decision making put in the hands of the people the following articles describe fundamental principles on which smallism is based. Although the concept and ideas have been discussed before, even as far back as Adam Smith, from socialist thinkers like Louis Wirth in 1937 and in considerations of optimal values of public expenditure discussed by Samuelson and Musgrave and further developed by Tiebout (1954) smallism is a practical explanation on how to achieve true direct democracy but starting with the individual and working upwards.
